S. Venkatesam is generally known as Sam. He was an engineer, a war veteran of Indian Air Force, an avionics designer, a corporate director and a forestry champion for over five decades. Many professional achievements and a six million dollar venture capital fund at the age of 68 for a Power from Trees project are the highlights of his career. He has written four books of fiction in the genre of espionage/thriller and they are at various stages of publishing.His extensive travels while holding senior positions of responsibility across many countries spurred his interest in becoming a writer. He is currently a mentor to some high tech companies. He is an active member of many technical and social service organisations. He lives in Bangalore with his wife.
