Rumjhum holds a degree in psychology and has been working in the field of Human Resources for over 12 years. Born and brought up in a small town near Mumbai that is famous for its ancient Shiv temple, she grew up listening to her Grandma narrating stories from Thakumar Jhuli—a must for every Bengali child. This awoke in her an intense love for children’s literature. Her life took a turn with the arrival of her son and she further studied Early Childhood Care and Education (E.C.C.Ed.) and dabbles in the same. A mother of a fiery three-year-old with a love for stories, she now writes prose and poetry that are liked by both the young and their parents.
