Vasundhara Raghavan writes a second time on kidney disease. Her first book was Shades of Life, Sublime Joy is in Living. In an attempt to revolutionise the approach to chronic kidney disease she chooses to write personal stories showing urgency for society to extend a strong arm of support to this community. With “The Kidney Warriors”, she takes readers to meet some ‘true heros’. This book must burgeon much sought after change in nephrology and garner support from public sector and corporates.She lives in Dubai and does advocacy work for patients in India.
P.Sivagami (born 30 November 1957) is an Indian Dalit-Feminist writer, former IAS officer and activist predominantly writing in Tamil. Her notable works include Pazhayani Kazhidalum, Kurruku Vettu, Nalum Thodarum and Kadaisi Mandhar. Apart from being one of the most prominent Dalit novelists in India, she has also constantly voiced her opinions on contemporary social and political issues.An author of four novels, P. Sivagami has regularly kept in touch with editing and has actively contributed to the monthly magazine Puthiya Kodangi since 1995. P.
