Bhaskar Chattopadhyay is an author and translator. He has written and edited the bestselling anthology of short stories 14: Stories That Inspired Satyajit Ray, as well as translated veteran Bengali writers like Rabindranath Tagore, Rajshekhar Basu, Tarashankar Bandyopadhyay, Premendra Mitra, Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury, Prabhat Kumar Mukhopadhyay, Hasan Azizul Haque and Narendra Nath Mitra, among others. Patang is his debut novel.

Mulk Raj Anand

Mulk Raj Anand (12 December 1905 – 28 September 2004) was an Indian writer in English, notable for his depiction of the lives of the poorer castes in traditional Indian society.
