Ankush Saikia was born in Tezpur, Assam, in 1975 is an Indian author. He grew up in Madison, Wisconsin; Assam; and Shillong, Meghalaya.Saikia has previously worked as a journalist at India Today, indiaabroad.com, and Express India, and as a senior editor in the publishing firm Dorling Kindersley (India).He is currently self-employed.He was shortlisted for the Outlook–Picador India non-fiction writing award (2005).He has also written features and long-form pieces (mostly on North East India) for Tehelka, Scroll.in, Hindustan Times, fountainink.in, The Caravan, Assam Tribune, Eclectic Northeast, DailyO, Indian Express, The Hindu etc.Books by Ankush Saikia
P.Sivagami (born 30 November 1957) is an Indian Dalit-Feminist writer, former IAS officer and activist predominantly writing in Tamil. Her notable works include Pazhayani Kazhidalum, Kurruku Vettu, Nalum Thodarum and Kadaisi Mandhar. Apart from being one of the most prominent Dalit novelists in India, she has also constantly voiced her opinions on contemporary social and political issues.An author of four novels, P. Sivagami has regularly kept in touch with editing and has actively contributed to the monthly magazine Puthiya Kodangi since 1995. P.
